Course Description: This course will provide foundational knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for enhancing cybersecurity with a human-centric approach for banking and financial institutions. As human factors are considered critical in cybersecurity, let us discover how human beings play significant roles as attackers, defenders, and end users in the ecosystem of banking and finance, as well as its customers and supply chain. As part of the course, relevant interdisciplinary domains such as behavioral cybersecurity and cyberpsychology will be tackled to provide participants with further appreciation of human-based cybersecurity for banking and financial institutions. This course is output-driven and outcome-driven, and participants are expected to actively participate in workshops. At the end of the course, learners shall be able to bring valuable insights to their own organizations and contribute to enhancing cybersecurity management and program implementation, collaboration with business leaders, and ultimately be able to generate practical and operational examples of applying human-based cybersecurity.

  4. Workshop: Integration of Human-Based Cybersecurity for GRC, SecOps, and SecEng
  5. Managing Third-Party Providers and Services
  6. Human-Based Cybersecurity: 30-60-90 Day Plan for the Bank
  7. Executives and Decision Makers: Building a Security Culture
  8. Workshop: Implementation Opportunities in Your Organization

Rei is currently the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Equicom Savings Bank. With his role, he continuously drives the advancement of human-based and behavioral cybersecurity, and cyberpsychology through education, awareness, training, and research. Concurrently, he also provides data protection and data privacy services, consulting, and advisory to various companies in the Equicom Group. He currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).
