WEBINAR AGENDA / TRAINING OUTLINE:
I. Assessing the Retail/Branch Banking’s (RB/BB) Regulatory/AML Risks & Controls and the Ethical/Compliance Culture. The earlier BBA-Part 1 had covered the independent risk analysis of the full Risk Profile of Retail/Branch Banking. Now, this BBA-Part2 will highlight an Independent Assessment of the Regulatory/AML Risks & Controls and the Ethical/Compliance Culture in the Retail/Branch Banking Units.
II. Assessing the Retail/Branch Banking’s Regulatory Risk Management, Control and the Ethical/Compliance Culture vis-à-vis relevant AMLC rules and BSP Regulations.
III. Articulating the Risk-Based Audit Strategy on Areas of Regulatory/AML Risk in Retail/Branch Banking’s Sales, Servicing Operations, and the AML Compliance Culture.
IV. Conducting the Audit Briefing for Management: The Expectations on What RB/BB Management would provide to the IA Team. The Separate AML Audit Rating Criteria.
V. Documenting the audit procedures guides or APGs that the Auditors shall perform pertaining to the Areas of Regulatory/AML Risk in Retail/Branch Banking’s Sales, Servicing Operations, and their AML Compliance Culture.
VI. Developing the Auditing Approach for the Possibility of AML-related Fraud or other significant regulatory offenses that may involve the Retail/Branch Banking Units.
VII. Regulatory/AML Risk-related Audit Observations, Audit Exceptions of the Branch Banking Sales, and Servicing Operations.
VIII. Determining the Auditor’s Evaluation as to the Achievement of the Audit Objectives pertaining to (a)Adequacy of Design of Regulatory/AML Risk Governance/Management/Control and Ethical/Compliance Culture; and their (b) Implementation Effectiveness.
IX. Integrating the Results of the Audit into the Audit Report Executive Summary and in the Details of the Audit Issues, Recommendations, and Management Responses / Action Plans.
X. Conducting the Exit Conference with Management. Articulating the Auditor’s Overall Opinion, and the AML Audit Rating.
XI. Situational analysis. Illustrative examples.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this Seminar, the Participants are expected to:
• Articulate the Auditor’s Understanding of the Regulatory Risks in Retail Banking (RB) / Branch Banking (BB) units that are being prioritized for an internal audit examination.
• Articulate the Auditor’s Risk-Based Audit Strategy for BB Sales, as well as for BB Service Operations and the detailed Audit Procedures (APGs) that will effectively carry out the risk-based Audit Strategy Statements.
• Determine the Auditor’s Evaluation of the (a)Adequacy of internal control Design and the (b)Effectiveness of internal control Implementation in the Branch Banking Sales and Service Operations.
• Discuss the integration of the various elements and results into the Audit Report for the Branch Banking Audit Engagement.
