Course Description:
This foundational course provides new employees of financial institutions—or anyone interested in understanding the Philippine financial landscape—with a comprehensive overview of the country’s banking and economic systems. It introduces participants to the evolution of banking in the Philippines, the structure and roles of various financial and non-bank institutions, and the growing influence of digital finance, fintech, and open banking. Participants will also gain insight into the critical roles of regulatory bodies in maintaining financial stability and promoting inclusion, innovation, and consumer protection.
